Impington
Village College is an 11-19 comprehensive day school set in wooded and
landscaped grounds situated in the pleasant rural village of Impington,
2 miles north of the historic town of Cambridge, Great Britain.
Cambridge is famous for its university and is a beautiful old city only
one hour from London by train.
Impington’s successful bid to become one of the government’s Specialist Language Colleges in September 1999 builds on our designation as an international school by the British Council in the spring of 1998. As a Language College, Impington has provided a French teacher for local primary schools and enabled our own students to study Japanese in addition to French, German, Spanish and Russian. Increasing globalisation and the growth of knowledge-based professions in the new millennium mean that an understanding of two languages will enable our students to achieve success in their chosen fields. We aim to provide a centre of excellence in mathematics and the sciences, in English and the humanities, in sport and in the aesthetic and performance arts.
